Warning: Debate post
Everyone give Jenny a big hug next time you see her b/c she seriously got screwed over at the tourny today. She didn't even break in DI. I mean, this is the DI she is probably going to win nationals with, and the stupid mother judges who don't have any idea what they're doing gave her a 5 and two 3s. I mean what's up with that? One judge said that she didn't like the piece b/c it was too sad. LOL. The whole point of a freakin DI is to be sad, I mean that's why its called "dramatic" interp and not happy interp.
In happier news, Chris and Betsy got first in Duo, which is awesome! And our novices, Laura and Amy, broke too, so we're really proud of them. Oh, and I got first in my OO and ADS again, so I was pretty happy. I didn't care except for beating Chris. LOL. We're so competitive.
Jean dear, we miss you. We're offended that you would lower yourself to the standards of a math tournament. I mean c'mon, get your priorities straight! You better come to districts. I need the competition. LOL.
Oh, Chas offered me a full debate scholarship to Bama last night. Which was weird and unexpected. I don't know, he said some of his teammates really liked me at the tournament there a couple weeks ago. I'm flattered I guess, but I really don't think I want to do debate in college. It's such a huge commitment, and I love it but I'm not planning on doing it forever or anything. I'm more passionate about history and literature; that's what I want to focus my education on.
I randomly ran into Ryan Livingston at the tourny today, and his mom said that she was trying to get all the old MCCO people together tomorrow. That'd be kinda cool I guess; I haven't seen most of them since middle school. I have a feeling it'll be awkward though. What are we supposed to do, reminisce (sp?) about our theatre childhood? It already is really awkward with Ryan. He's turned into such a nerd, and we had nothing to talk about today. So I just rambled on like an idiot about how much fun Wizard had been. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
I should get started on that We the People app. Oh, Osbourne's gonna be a WTP chaperone at nationals and said that I can come along too to chaperone him. I wish. DC would be so fun. We just have to work really hard next year so we can make it too. Better go. Love to all!
