Glenbrooks was fun, I guess. Half of the trip was filled w/ me just thinking about how much fun I had the year before and how much I missed all my college friends. It's a really stupid way to be if you think about it, living in the past. And I find myself doing it more and more often. Thinking about Oxford or junior year or whatever, never appreciating life right now.
Speaking of college friends, I am uber-excited about seeing Chris and Lee tomorrow. I am dragging them along with me to see Rent. It's crazy not seeing people you care about that much for months and months.
Yesterday was fun. Chicago is beautiful. And cold. But still beautiful. I could see myself being a city person, I've decided. Picture it: me wrapped up in a chic peacoat and the wind blowing a scarf over my shoulder, mastering the metro system, dropping by an artsy poetry reading and sipping coffee. Maybe. I'd still rather scrounge around in dusty medieval libraries. Yeah, being British is better.
Here are some laughs from this weekend:
"I don't see any cars. We must be in Kentucky!" Mel
"I just keep sucking but it won't come out!" Mel
"Mel, did you leave an Ace Bandage on the bed?" Liz
"I want to go to bed. I want to go to bed and be in my head. I want to go to bed and be in my head and just wear red!!!" Me
Jean and Rob having a sickeningly sweet fight over who would hang up first.
O'Kelley crazy stories of younger days (4 guys?!?)
So, hope everyone has a very merry turkey day. I'll be home except for Thursday, so you losers call me if you want to hang out. Much love.
