Trying to think of some witty British comment but am sadly too American at the moment...

I wrote out a long, beautiful entry that was deleted by the computer. Such are internet cafes. But I am having an amazing time here! I just spent two hours on the Pembroke College lawn reading John Donne and contemplating the transient nature of life. Absolutely lovely! (note my British vocabulary)

I've also discovered my future profession. There is a college here called All Soul's completely devoted to professors (dons). These dons glide through 16th century halls, think deep thoughts, and get paid for it! Sounds ideallic, n'est-ce pas?

Chris and Lee were here this weekend to escape the craziness of London. We had a great time doing all the touristy things, especially punting down the beautiful Thames on Saturday. Although, when I say we I mean Lee as Chris and I sat back and let him do all the hard work. What can I say, I'm lazy:)

On the negative side of things, I turned in my first essay today. Paganistic influences on early Christian Anglo-Saxon literature. Fascinating (note the sarcasm in my voice) But all the work is worth it. Class is so amazing, and my professor, Patrick is so passionate. Think Mrs. Maddox teaching the constitution every day.

The people here are wonderful too. So much diversity! I've befriended people from Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, etc. A ton of different perspectives which is nice for the native WASPy Alabamian.

My meter is running low and as I don't want to pay an extra pound, I must depart. But I love all of you so so so so much!!!!! Cheers!
