Good things come to those who wait....and put up with copious shit in the process....
So, life is pretty good right now for me. In this exact moment, I am more happy than I have been in a while, and it feels absolutely frikkin amazing and wonderful. I wish I could feel this content and happy always.
First off, biggest news of all is : I HAVE AN INTERNSHIP FOR THE FALL!!! WHOOOT!! I will be working in the counseling center for this non-profit called WVSA which does art programs with children with learning,developmental and physical disabilities, and provides counseling and skills training. I will be working in their counseling center, shadowing their psychologist who works there, and help with group therapy sessions and art therapy sessions. This all doesn't start till the fall but I am so excited that I almost can't stand it. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping to do with my gap year(s) between Centre and grad school, and it just makes me so exicited that I will get to do this.
Second, I was treated last night to a good hour or so of screentime of my favorite vampire, Mr Jasper Hale, and all his sexy-confederate-soldier-angsty goodness, and even though I had to wait almost three hours for my awesome seats, SO WORTH IT!! I will do my whole review and squee about the movie later, because I am currently running on three hours of sleep and I really need a nap if I want to be functioning at all tonight or tommorow.
Third, my overworked-and-underappreciated mother is finally done and freed of the insane proposal project that has kept her away from me almost every single day since I got back from commencement. She and I can finally eat dinner together and go see all the movies we haven't gotten to see together yet, which makes me really happy because now that I have a job for fall I can enjoy my summer, and can now actually enjoy it with my Mom. We're gonna go see "Karate Kid" tommorow, and then Friday Matt and me are gonna see "Airbender", so it is gonna be a week of fighting and martial arts of all kinds. Not that I am complaining.
Now if you will excuse me, I will celebrate my good luck and eventual happiness by taking a massive nap, and dream about my blond haired vampire with the sexy drawl.
