so i just wrote a very interesting post, and went to spell check it. all i wanted to do was play by the english rules, and second guesse myself. (spell check) when i hit mr. back button, it erased. ERASED.
so as i said earlier, lets play a game. i'll call it the guessing game. next time you take a quiz, instead of writing down the knowledge that you're SURE you've acquired, you take wild guesses. for serious try it.
so as i was sitting in bio today, i realized that i had no idea about anything that was going to be on the quiz that was to be taken in abotu 10 minutes. so as i looked around, i realized that everyone had the same contemplative looks on their faces. i take that as a sign that the "quest" will be scaled. and as i asked around i realized that my assumption was correct. NOBODY knew what they were going to do. when i recieved my "quest" i let the adventure begin. i wrote down four answers. photosynthesis, atp, glucose, and adp. there were 20 questions. at teh end of my mission, i learned that many people just left answers blank.
i was also thinking to scientists, words like photosynthesis, atp, adp, and nadph are just part of their common knowlege. if i were to take a test and answer a question wrong, they would laugh at me because when you get to a certain level in a career, you start to assume that everyone has come with you. if i became a scientist, i would make a point of misusing words just to confuse people, and it would be grand. "excuse me, but you're stepping in my glucose."
i often do the same with dance terms if i were to say plie, i would assume that any girl would remember that from when she was four. but when i have to explain myself, it comes out sounding really stupid.
"what's a plie?"
"its when you're holding the bar, and you bend your knees"
peace outside the box
