So it seems that one of my dearest friends, my beloved adopted father-nation, and countless lovely and innocent girls have been accused of murder most foul!
Never fear, I, Tamaki, am on the case. Having read numerous detective novels, as well as being a genius and master of disguise, there can be no doubt. I will use the power of deductive reasoning to clear your names and determine the true culprits.
We'll begin with my dear friend Takashi Morinozuka. Don't let that face fool you! He's the type that loves children and animals, a gentle and kind person through and through. No, it would be impossible for such a man to commit this crime, particularly where children were involved. It would be far more like him to do anything in his power to protect the helpless, which demonstrates how much of a motive the true murderer has to frame him. Were I a murderer of innocent children (though clearly the idea is impossible to contemplate, please try for the sake of the hypothetical), Takashi Morinozuka is the person I would be most afraid of.
Then there's Kiku Honda, who happens to be the nation of Japan. Not only has he always been truly kind and generous to Hungary and myself for our entire stay, and always concerned for our well-being as though it were his own, but...why, to say that Japan is a murderer would be to call us a nation of murderers, and that's absurd. The same is true for America. If he's a murderer then Shirley Temple is a murderer, and I think we all know how cute she was in Heidi.
As for Ryoko, Kanna, Arturia, Mimi, Tiffany, Aoi, Minatsuki, Roshia, Saki, Himeno, Meriken, Bonnie, Kafuka, Terry, and Nanoha, each one of them is a gentle and delicate flower of maidenhood. Could any man gaze upon their beauty and believe them capable of harm? It's simply out of the question, and should any man suggest otherwise, I am afraid to say that you are no gentleman at all.
Who remains, then, now that we've ruled out these suspects? Alphonse, Kaito, Luke, Ellis, Simon, Mewtwo, and Sideswipe. Aha! ...Or so some detectives might say. One of these is clearly the true killer. But as any real detective and reader of mystery novels knows, the most obvious culprit is always innocent, so none of these could possibly be the killer!
...Besides, although we may not know one another yet, I think none of these gentlemen are men I could not one day become friends with. I'm sure they're some of your friends or adopted family, too, and to accuse them would be an insult to the precious feelings we all hold that make our time here so much more bearable.
Even though we feel the absence of some individuals so much, deductive reasoning cannot allow us to turn that burden into anger. If there are monsters here among us, suspicion won't held us discover them.
So...considering all of that.
Yes, yes, it's clear to me now. After reviewing the evidence, there's only one possible conclusion to be made. The answer to the mystery is...
Everyone was spirited away by bad witches!
Bad witches, hear my plea and please bring back our friends! Everyone else, be sure to wear crosses made out of garlic around your necks tonight, and you'll be fine. Or maybe that's vampires.
I rest my case.
