Once again, you seem to be reading into something that might not even be there. Girls can naturally be flirty. Maybe that's all she meant by it. A girl doesn't have to want to be your girlfriend in order for her to want to run her fingers through your hair. And maybe she just likes knowing that she can get a rise out of a guy.

And that might be so, but considering our history, there's always the possibility that it's more then just that. You'd have to know the whole thing to understand entirely.

Oh but perhaps I do know. Ok, so let's say that there is that little thing there between you two, maybe there's something keeping her from wanting anything more than just a flirtatious friendship.
