Lord Karakael!
[The boy smiles, pushing a puppet towards the camera.]
What do you think of this one? Is she-
-pretty?
The puppet the child holds, no longer a puppet but rather a young woman with rose colored hair and emerald eyes, twitches and then glances up coyly.
Does she please you, my love?
She's exquisite. Where did you find this one, ( Read more... )

Can you really make dolls become real or is that part of the dream that the community is showing?

...my world has the ability to turn dead bodies into puppets. The doll was merely a test for one of my children before I allowed him to begin practicing on real corpses.

The dream was more of a memory than anything else. My apologizes for making you see it.

Why would you turn them into puppets? The dead bodies...they were people.

They were people, yes. But no longer. If you believe in such things as souls, then one could say theirs have moved on and no long need their earthly vessel. Might as well use it for something useful, correct?

I wouldn't like the idea of my loved one's bodies walking around when they're not in them.

I suppose not. But given that most of their loved ones were the ones who sold the corpses in the first place...I tend not to worry too much about their feelings.

Trust me, there are far more disturbing things than child-soldiers and corpse-puppets in this place I call home. My universe doesn't run on 'nice', my dear, and I cannot imagine it any other way.

Worse things...?

I'm sorry...I can't imagine what your world must be like.

Few here can. But no matter. I doubt you will be visiting any time soon, so do not worry yourself about my worlds strangeness.

I'm sorry, I was just surprised. I'd thought I'd gotten used to all the different worlds but it looks like some can still surprise me.

My universe seems rather far in the future in comparison to most seen here. It is doubtful you would be quite so shocked by most of the other places here.

How far?

At least forty thousand years. Maybe many more.
