[The scene shows forest-covered valleys on one side, a picturesque ancient Japanese village on the other, and clear skies all around. A gentle breeze rustles the nearby plum trees; pink petals scatter lazily in the air. A blank scroll is spread out on a patch of grass, and a glowing green ‘bug’ jumps up and down around the paper ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm all--[Pauses. Thinks. Sees that the speaker is a pretty lady.] I mean, of course I’m alright! Just a little surprised.

Curses don't normally worry about your health.

This is a place where people can talk to one another. We're all able to see your drawings and you can see us in return.

And they were beautiful. You're very talented.

You got a point.

There are others? I mean...if all of them are like you, I suppose this wouldn't be that bad. But I do want my painting back.

Aw, shucks, Lady! That valley is right outside my home. Although I try my best, it's not always possible to capture the natural beauty that the Kami created.

I'm sorry you lost it. It really was very pretty. But I am glad that we got a chance to see it!

Your home must be very beautiful, I've never seen anything like it.

Yep! Beautiful spirits, beautiful landscape, beautiful air--it's why I chose Kamiki Village to be my new home. Kind of small okay more like really small, but simplicity is the new elegance...or something. Eh-heh.

My name's Issun! I'm a wandering artist! Or I was on up until I found Kamiki Village.

Sorry. I can equal fail at times. makewayforroze June 29 2011, 06:54:51 UTC
I like simplicity. Your video shows what's so beautiful about it.

Nice to meet you Issun. I'm Roze.

Do you sale your paintings in the village?

Roze...Roze...You're not from Nippon, are you?

Nope. I used to show others my art, but not so much now. It's a bit hard to swallow that strangers are seeing it.

I'm from Amestris. Do you know another Roze? It doesn't seem to be a common name on the community.

Oh, is it private? You're very good, it seems a shame that others can't see your talent. If I hadn't gotten a chance to see it, I wouldn't know such a beautiful place existed.

Nah. I just never heard of 'Roze' being a name. Does it mean anything from where you come?

Eh, I wouldn't say private. More like I don't showcase it everyone. [At this he get a bit defensive.] It's not my job to spread beauty, anyway.

No, I don't think so. Have you heard it being something else?

Then it shouldn't have shown it. Sometimes it shows things we'd prefer to keep private. Is it something you don't want to talk about?

Wish I could help with your name, Roze-chan. At least it's something to think about!

Wow. Does that happen often? [Ignores the latter part.]

[Then she'll take that as a yes]

I've only been here a short time myself but it seems to. It seems to choose what it wants to show and there are viruses, which do a lot of different things. The first I saw made those who caught it tell their secrets to everyone.

S-secrets...? [He does not like the sound of that, not one bit.] Huh. Is there any way to protect against these viruses? Like talismans or charms?

[Neither did she]

There are people working on finding ways but so far, there are none. I'm sorry.
