[ It's unintentional video post time! You see Karofsky at his locker; he shuts it and is about to walk away when Finn appears, dodging around some other students to get to where Karofsky is standing ]

Hey.

Hey. Congrats on the MVP.

Ah, thanks. It was a team effort. So, listen, uh... [ he looks a little unsure, hesitating before ploughing on] ( Read more... )

At least you tried? It takes guts to try and change pretty much anything about high school.

Thanks. Looks like it'll take more than just guts, though.

It usually does, but having the courage to even try is a pretty good first step.

I guess. Any idea what the second step is?

Well that all depends on what the problem is.

The problem is that Karofsky is a jerk and an idiot.

Sometimes people are. And sometimes, trying to force that person to change when they're not ready or admit something they don't want to admit is only going to make them resist more.

Huh. Well, I don't wanna risk the slushie attacks starting again, so I'm not gonna say anything else to him. Besides, once the others hear he isn't willing to apologize to Kurt, there's no way they'll let him in the club even if he did want to.

Slushie attacks? Seriously?

Well that's probably for the best. I'm sure he knows what he has to do should he want to fix things and if he doesn't? It's not your responsibility to make him.

Yeah. If I got a penny for every time it happened, I'd be pretty rich by now.

True. It's just frustrating that we were so close to changing things, you know?

Wait, so they're actually a...thing at your school? I'd figured it was just a two or three time thing.

I know. And believe me, I know what it's like to want to fix everything because I do it. But...I've learned the hard way that sometimes no matter how hard we try to fix things, we can't always succeed.

It happens so much that the worst victims keep spare clothes in their lockers. Some kids have even worn rain jackets in the hallways. It's hard getting that stuff out of your clothes.

You did? What happened?

That's actually insane. How come the teachers haven't done anything?

My parents split up. I promised dad I wouldn't tell about the affair he was having with a student but mom found out anyway, and they split up.

The teachers here are pretty useless.

Oh, sorry. How come you said you wouldn't tell though?

So it seems.

Because...because he asked me not to and because I thought...hoped...if I didn't say anything, mom would never find out and they wouldn't split up. Sounds pretty dumb now, I know, but I just...didn't want my family to fall apart.

It doesn't sound dumb, nobody would want their family to get split up like that. Sorry it didn't work out.
