[ Hey there, DDD! You might recognise this little scamp, he's been around before - it's one early-double-digits Neil Dylandy, nowhere near Lockon Stratos yet, with the look of someone who's torn between adrenaline, excitement, and worry.

That carries through to his voice, N.Irish accent somewhat jittery and high on adrenaline. ]

You guys won't believe the day we've had!

[ All his words are accompanied by sweeping gestures of his hands, with them flying in and out of frame with every grand wave. ]

We were climbing the big tree in the park, me and Lyle and Amy, only we weren't letting Amy 'cause it's so big and only boys can climb it, and we got so high, higher'n any of the other kids ever did, and there was this nest out on the branch, a real nest, it had eggs in it an'all, so me'n Lyle were climbing out ta see it, only Lyle was ahead of me, he got on the branch first and it kinda-- snapped-- right out from under him!

[ DRAMATIC PAUSE. Wide-eyed grinning at the screen, you guys are totally feeling the nail-biting excitement of this, right. ]

I said we were really high up, didn't I? Sure, they had to call an ambulance, a real one with paramedics and stretchers! Me an' Amy were-- they wouldn't let us go in the ambulance with him, Mam did though, Dad drove us behind it - oh, right, we called Mam and Dad first, 'cause there was loads of blood, but he was still awake and talking - though it was mostly "ow", but it was still talking - and when we got to the hospital they said he was going to have to have stitches--

[ the wide-eyed grin kind of falters a little, the worry showing through the coolness factor and adrenaline. ]

--and they said they were keeping him overnight, just in case. I mean they said there wasn't anything wrong - the doctor was goin' on about how he was fine but it was 'standard procedure for a head injury', so there's nothing to worry about or anything. Mam and Dad said the same thing. I think we're goin' ta be in trouble when he gets back tomorrow, actually, so he's lucky to be gone tonight.

[ …and with a little bit of a furtive glance around - nope, no parents or little sister. Watch the preteen attempt casual, OK? ]

It's not as though I'm worried or anythin'. I'm only asking 'cause he looked kinda pale when we were leavin', that's all--

Um.

So. Has anyone ever had stitches here? An' had to stay in hospital overnight? I'm just curious.
