Anyone else getting put off by how many (relatively) good viruses we've been getting lately? I mean, other than the ghosts, the cruise was very nice, and that last one looked like it was fun for those involved ( Read more... )

You are not the only one concerned about the viruses.

Aside from our fruits like the banango, mepple, and sweetberry? I hear in the desert, there is a rose that blooms once every 100 years. Is that unusual?

I never am.

...I've never heard of any of those. There have been myths about desert roses for thousands of years, though; I'm not sure of the validity of yours, but the ones I've heard are decidedly more metaphorical.

We have an excellent selection of fruits - banangos are my personal favorite food. As for the rose, I've seen it in person, so I can confirm that it exists.

I wonder if you wouldn't mind delivering me a sample, somehow? It sounds like something from one of the Federation planets, but I only ever had it once.

Interesting. What did it look like? Any special traits?

Can nobody get in?

I haven't seen many rose-type plants with brown petals; that's generally not a desired color in flowers. Still, it sounds interesting.

No, it seems easy to get in. I myself am the problem.

It's not, but its extreme rarity makes it prized.
