I'm currently working with Miata on trying to cure my magic, but we've hit a wall and I'd hoped someone here would have some experience that could get us unstuck

Is it a binding? That's the only permanent way to lose your magical ability around here.

A binding? Could you explain how such a thing works dear?

You seal off someone's access to their magical abilities. You'd generally need to lure them onto a binding diagram.

Really hard to block someone off completely, though. The caster would have to be powerful.

Hmm... Would the binding diagram alter the magic flow in the target's body, then? We are noticing some amount of redirection...

It would choke the flow off, down to a trickle, or block it entirely.

It might be something similar then, the power that's redirected just vanishes. We thought it might be being drawn out somewhere, but if it's possible to block it out entirely...

How does someone go about unsealing themselves dear?

Eh, that's white or holy territory. Not my area.

Me, I'd track down the caster and force 'em to lift the spell. If that failed, just kill 'em and find out of that did it. A really powerful spell won't necessarily break with the caster's death, but at least they'd be out of my way permanently.

That would be a little extreme. And we don't know who did it to begin with, or if it was some odd mix of circumstance that made it look like someone did.

And I'm guessing it would need to be done by someone more powerful, right dear?
