[There's a bit of confused noise and it's dark except for a scrap of light. The hand that was covering the screen backs away and the room comes into focus.]
This doesn't make any sense.
[The camera pans around, there are two twin beds, a book shelf overflowing with books, discarded toys in the corner, and finally Edward faces the camera an odd,

Ed? You still there?

You must be Mello.
[And he smiles because Mello is perhaps every bit as interesting has he expected. He looks up at him and offers his hand.]

I saw your post and decided to look for your house. Have you had the chance to look around yet?

I haven't gone out yet, but...looks like a lot of strange places. What did you bring with you? [He gestures to the bike.]

A motorcycle. I'm lucky it ended up here with me, makes getting around a lot easier.

Hm, it's pretty easy, I mean, you basically cut up vegetables and meat and stick it in broth...anyway, if you want to help cut it up, you can. [He pulls out whatever seems to be stocked in the fridge, carrots, parsnip, potatoes...]

I wouldn't have guessed we'd meet face to face because of a virus.

[He chuckles at that.] Unsurprisingly, I can relate. It's rarer than I'd like it to be. I knew a grand total of four people on my world who could, and two of those are dead.

[Ed trails off, he has a habit for tangents, especially in person where he can't think before he speaks.]
Dead...that's fucking miserable. So do you talk to the other two? My brother is really intelligent too, he'd be great for you to speak to. And I guess it's good we have each other I mean...maybe my dad might've been able to if he wasn't such a dick.
