I have a question in regards to the community and it's relation to the internet or other networked databases.
Where I'm from, we don't have exactly the same kind of internet as other worlds might. For example, all these rumors about the Enterprise being part of a science fiction television show are unable to be verified using my own access, since we don't exactly have reviews of episodes or movies about us available.
But, through the community, I seem to be able to get a hold of more information than I would normally be able to - as well as sites that don't exist any more, etc. - so, what I've been wondering is if this availability is a side-effect of being connected to DDD, or if it's more like something the community actually intends to happen.
I kind of want to explore this further but... Well, has anyone gone digging and found stuff they really wish they hadn't found?
