I-I'm not lying! I really don't remember them. Much... [Her eyes glance off to one side, avoiding his gaze.] Besides, how can you be having nightmares? You barely sleep as it is...

Much is already too much. [He refrains from commenting how cute Naoto look when he pouts.]

That's the reason I don't sleep. One of them. [He don't usually tell that to anybody. He used to sleep more when Akako was there. Sleeping next to her helped. Not anymore... ]

[Her expression softens.] Oh, Hakuba... Why didn't you tell me before? Then maybe I wouldn't have lectured you so harshly...

[She remembered that time before Kid's heist in Inaba, when she'd admonished Hakuba for not getting enough rest, and he'd been so adamant in refusing any and all sleep aids. Now it made sense...]

[Slowly, she wrapped her arms around his middle and embraced him.] I'm sorry... [It was the only thing she could think of to say.]

[He feel it right, and he can even feel how Naoto's chest isn't really that flat. It must be annoying to hide all the time. He tensed when Naoto talked again.]

No... I'm just stupid and sometimes forget that there are so many people who care about me.

[She can feel those annoying butterflies fluttering deep inside her belly. Her heart is pounding so hard, it's almost painful.]

There's... something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time now...

[Naoto tilts her head back so that she can look Hakuba in the eye. Her fingers tighten against the fabric of his shirt.]

Hakuba, I... I love you.

[Finally. She has said it. The words she has kept secret for so long. So, why does it feel like the world is about to end...?]
