[This clearly used to be a building. From the books scattered around, it was probably a library. A school library, if the barely-visible body of some girl in the background is any indication. It's pretty obvious how it got turned into a pile of rubble, given that Cure Aqua and someone wearing a similar costume in green are facing off against a Random Giant Monster. There are others in various colors lying around, looking remarkably like people who have been killed in various painful-looking ways, as well as a plush toy which, bizarrely, seems to have been killed as well. Aqua looks understandably freaked out.]
Everyone...
Aqua! Look out!
[Aqua's friend jumps and pushes her out of the way of a... freeform appendage (don't call it a tentacle, that has entirely the wrong implications about this scenario), getting hit by it herself instead.]
Mint!
[Mint struggles to get up.]
There's no time for that... we need to...
[Mint trails off as the monster jumps at her. With her already hurt, there's no way she can get away. But Aqua is still able to act. She briefly crosses her arms in front of her chest, then sweeps one hand in front of her as water appears around her...] Pretty Cure... [...forming into a vertical arc that she holds as if it was a bow.] SAPPHIRE ARROW! [Something blue and arrow-shaped shoots out of the "bow" and flies towards the monster...
...and misses completely.
The monster doesn't even notice the attack as it pounces on Mint and visibly breaks her neck. Aqua screams something, but there's a bit of static such that you'll only recognize it as "KOMACHI!" if you already know that's the sort of thing she'd scream in this situation.]
