But I know that guy. I mean, I've sort of known a bunch of the people I've been fighting, but that guy... I kinda did for him what Angeal did for me, you know? Coached him, worked with him on missions, helped him make second class. And the look on his face when he saw me... it's the same thing I felt when I realized Angeal had gone AWOL. Betrayed. Hurt. Like my hero had just turned out to be the villain.
Shit, he was just doing his job! He believed what Shinra told him, just like I did. Just like we all did. He was hunting a 'dangerous escaped criminal'. Probably told him I turned terrorist, joined Avalanche or something. He was trying to protect people.
And I killed him. Took him apart. He never even had a chance.
Fuck. When the hell did I become the bad guy, huh? What part of being a hero is this? Why am I killing innocent people?
