Why does one pursue the truth? And how does one do it?

Maybe I don't understand this.
But one usually pursues the truth to find out answers. And how they do it well, isn't that depending on their situation?

But why do they search for answers?

Because, some people have questions about themselves, or other people or places. There isn't anything better than getting satisfaction to a question you've had be it for years or weeks.

Well, I suppose that's true...but what if the truth hurts?

but they'll have an answer, won't they? And what hurts more, a wound that never heals or a wound that can - hopefully with time get better.

I'd rather want to know and hurt. Then hurt from the stress of wonder the rest of my life.

But that just doesn't seem right...

What isn't right about it..? Life can't be perfect, isn't that the so-called beauty of it? All of it's flaws? The fact that we can still live on and possibly be happy even with a little bad?

But even with that, can't we live with a little peace, even for one second, one day?!

Maybe finding answers brings peace.

Having questions means you're at unrest with something. Doesn't it?

...Not all the time.

Maybe not but I think if you're going to spend time pursuing the truth; as you put it, one might be.
