Frankly I think it's unfair of you to blame Rufus for his father's sins to this degree. Rufus is arrogant and self-centred, and he suffered from hubris in the past, but he would not have ordered you and Cloud experimented upon. He has expended considerable effort and money to root out and destroy any remaining vestiges of Hojo's research. He is beggaring himself to heal the planet of the damage our company caused.

Blame him for what he has done, not for his name. He did not ask to be born of that man's seed.
