[An echoed, disembodied voice that sounds like a younger voice.] "Batman....what would ever make me want to be Batman?"
[Everything's blurry, slowly sharpening to show a scene of violence: Batman, with a gun in his hand. Without skipping a beat, without even pausing to think, his finger squeezes the trigger, and his opponent - Poison Ivy - drops. The scene blurs out again, goes almost dark and shifts. As it changes, another echoing voice - this one sounding a decade older - can be heard.]
"Happy...is that what I was?"
[A graveyard appears this time, filled with tombstones, all bearing names of Gotham villains. Joker, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn - they're almost too numerous to number. The second voice speaks again:]
"The gun I use murdered Thomas and Martha Wayne. I'm redeeming a tool of evil."
[A very brief flash shows another grave, perhaps in a different cemetery: this one sports the name Bruce Wayne. The picture blurs out again.]
