Children are always curious by the oddest things. Belphegor used to ask if he could kill the maids.

Ah? Good that the little ones do not want to kill the nurses. They'd overrun them with sheer numbers.

[Tenenbaum glares at the little girl.] She did not mean that. Did you, little one? [The girl sullenly shakes her head.]

And it's always so hard to find more staff willing to put up with murderous children. It gets fucking expensive.
