Not locked to the Enterprise crew, but not really relevant otherwise...
While I am prone to avoiding discussing personal matters of any sort, I am finding myself trapped between a rock and a hard place as the saying goes.
On one hand I wish to find another crew member who might be able to take my gamma shift this evening, but I do not think I can ask such a favor without providing a reason for it... But one the other openly explicating my reasons like this does not sit well with me.

It was to be my mother's birthday today, and I would like to spend the day in solitude rather than on the bridge. If anyone can fulfill my duties for this one shift I would graciously take an unwanted shift of theirs. Thank you.
