I wonder what the significance of the imagery is.

Well, butterflies are typically a symbol for rebirth, aren't they? Could have something to do with that.

Good point. And this guy sounds like he's starting some kind of cult. Rebirth would be a common theme.

Clearly! touchofgenius June 18 2009, 05:19:24 UTC
Well, Jesus sacrificed himself and was supposedly reborn so it could be just another case of people taking the Bible a bit too literally.

Could be. It certainly has religious overtones, and that's pretty typical for cults.

It's an interesting cult if they take videos and pictures of themselves murdering women, though. Not exactly the usual "You'll be saved if you believe hard enough and give me all your money" kind of cult.

There was a cult in my world that kidnapped the President's daughter and infected her with a parasite to gain control of the world. No religion can shock me at this point.

There isn't really any horror that can't be justified by deciding that God wants it done.

Well, it's hard to argue with a supreme being telling you he wants you to murder six billion people. Trust me, I've tried.

I can imagine so. You're talking about Wesker, aren't you?

What was your first clue? The fact that I've actually talked to this god or did the murdering bit give it away?

Pretty much the whole package, yeah.

It's the tetragrammaton... We think.

Somehow I doubt you're talking about one of the Hebrew names for God. What's the tetragrammaton to you?

It's, uh... one of the Hebrew names for God, actually. At least, I think. I didn't really follow much of that conversation. Shito?

No, that's exactly what I mean. The first number in each sequence correspond to Y H W H, the Hebrew name for God.

And the total, 72 is the total if you add up the numerological value for the letters. It's one of the holy numbers.
