Observation and Inquiry

Apr 22, 2009 17:50

[voice transciption: the voice is that of a young male, his tone warm and concerned despite his topic of discussion.]

Seems to be calming down significantly from her public outburst. All restraints have been taken out of her room, including the straitjacket - however, sharp objects are still not allowed near her, and she is still liable to lash out if she sees her wounds, screaming about maggots in her blood. As such, she has been given the standard winter pyjamas for now, at least until her hysteria is quelled.

Her sleep continues to be erractic; she tosses and turns, occasionally crying out as if in pain or shock, and will wake up sobbing and apologizing. She is also still trying to refuse food, only taking it when she is desperately hungry or thirsty. When questioned about the events, all she does is start to cry while whispering the name "Oyashiro-sama" over and over again; requests for her to write down the events result in her simply writing the name "Oyashiro-sama" over and over again.

Her personal items were confiscated upon admittance to the facility, the weapon handed over to the police for evidence. Samples were taken from her clothing, and we have obtained clean clothes for her, identical to the bloodied ones, for when she is released. Also, a curious object was found in a pocket of her skirt; it appears to be a phone of some sort, but not like anything I have ever seen or used myself. Looking through it, there are names and numbers in here - I can only guess that these are friends or family members - with one connecting to what appears to be a group about...ducks. Interesting...

[transcription ends.]

Ah...this must be one of the phone's functions, as connecting it to one of the computers in the hospital directs me to this place. At least I can keep a close eye on her while typing here, though she shouldn't be of any trouble right now.

Introductions are necessary now, aren't they? Dr. Irie, if you will; I was called over to the Ibaraki hospital when they brought in an interesting young girl, and since she is from my town, I felt inclined to help her out. Alas, I am certain that some - if not all - of you have heard of the incident that went down in Ibaraki three days ago, correct? If not, this is the news piece on it.

Since we have passed the seventy-two hour observation point, it is up to me to decide whether she should remain hospitalized or return home. I believe much more good will be done for her if she is brought back home, but she will need to remain in Hinamizawa for at least two days to ensure that she is completely stabilized.

Thus, I am now compelled to ask of your assistance...ducks: would one of you be able to put me in contact with the family of Rena Ryuugu? She has mentioned a father, and if I can find him, I may be able to allow him to speak with her - I am hesitant in allowing her on this computer otherwise, as I fear a relapse if she becomes too stressed out.

Any other information is appreciated as well: I am building a case file for her here, and if she has friends here that she speaks to frequently, please let me know. I know of the friends she has in Hinamizawa, but as it is, I only speak to Rika and Satoko on a regular basis.

[ooc: Dr. Kyosuke Irie, at your service. He'll only be here for this post, as we're wrapping up Rena's psychotic stint. WARNING: Irie will discuss his observations and notes on Rena with a few people, and they will be violent and may disturb some, as she did attempt suicide again. If this makes you uncomfortable, feel free to skip over this. Thanks. :3]
