Unsatisfactory Transaction - what would YOU do?

OK - I need some advice. I know I haven’t been all that active on LJ recently, but I was away, and before that, preparing to be away, and busy, busy, busy…. You know how it is. But I can’t think of a better place to pose these questions than among my LJ Friends.

Oh wow Jill - that's awful!
Been there and I ate it :^( bought a 2nd hand head from someone pretty well known and because I was still fairly new to the nuances of the BJD world still at the time, I was scared that I'd be ostracized if I complained. Now I'd like to scream it from the rooftops!
The seller only said the head needed to be cleaned more to remove the rest of the face-up, but it was never mentioned that behind the ears was scratched to heck from earrings too big for the doll OR that the head was BUTTER yellow.
I was lucky that TracyP took the head and redid it for me as a favor to a friend - even whitening - because I would have had to pay probably more than I did for the overpriced head to get it worthy of putting on a body again.
Don't eat it like I did. If someone lied in their auction and refuses to compensate let people know who it was, they really have no leg to stand on here and any buyer deserves better treatment than that!
Oh yeah, if they got screwed because the doll "came to them like that" *it is not your problem*, they should have taken it up with the seller!
Good luck & HUGS!

I thought it wise to consult with people I know before emailing her back again. I dread the thought of it, actually, but I suppose it should be done.
