Drama

For the past three years most all of the memories I have, have to do with school. All of the memories are in a part of the school that many people would laugh at, but I think that would be because they don’t know what they are missing. Most of my memories are of the Drama Club. I have this theory; it’s that I have spent more time in the school than most of the teachers. I have spent countless hours in the scene shop building the sets for the plays and the musicals, hours in the booth programming light till they shine with glory. I can tell you how to Dutchman flats, what screws to use whether it a baby, or bigger Michael Jordan, and for tougher situation, you have to use Michael Jordan’s Daddies. I have spent hours just trying to put together the beast, a monstrosity of sorts built backward three times. I have spent hours on the phone with stubborn newspapers trying to get them to do a story about our up coming show. The Taco Grande packs and breadsticks, the pizza and cookies, all staples when you’re pulling a ten-hour shift a week before the show. Wink tag, and karaoke, headsets, flies, and the Theatre Ghost. I have cried I have, I have laughed, I have been scared, and I’ve been worn and dirty. I have made the best friends of my life gained memories that I would never trade for anything.
