Because I'm the dork I am.....
Well, here I am....can't sleep at 3:16 a.m. e.s.t. and I have G4TechTV on the tube.
The show- "Attack of the Show"
The hype- Sony patented new tech. for the PS3 that will not allow users to use used, rent, or borrowed games.
My question is, "Why the hell would they really want to do that?"
AotS had a poll that asked viewers if they would buy the PS3 with this tech. 83% said no, and I agree. I do really care to have a PS3 anyway, but this new news helps to push me farther away from the consol. I mean, once to open the cleas plastic wrapper on that brand-new game you just bought and place it in the consol. You play for an hour or two and take out the game. Well, doesn't that now consider the game used? Shouldn't that mean that you would no longer be able to use that game?
Okay, if you think about it Sony's "new tech." would most likely have a way to register that brand new game, so that only that single disc will be able to be used on that consol. But other questions arise. Will this new tech be able to tell if a game is used, borrowed, or rent?
*sigh*.....finally...i get to have an actually rant-ish update.
And so, I'm probably the only person in the known world who has yet to see a long, long list of movies such as Cars and PotC. I know, I know.....i really need to get unlazy and go to the movies and sit in a car for at least 2 hours at a time >.<
Other news, work sucks. But I'm sure that everyone has the same sentence there. Working in a card store, such as Hallmark, I get the pleasure of celabrating Christmas in July. Fun, huh? Well, today (or yesterday really) was Hallmark's Keepsake Ornament Preimere. Loads of fun. Lots of people buying hundreds of dollars of ornaments. Of course a layaway program is in effect for those that don't want to completely purchase their orn. all at once. -.-' Of course I had to join in on the chaos and get my very own layaway number, with benifits of course. Since I'm an employee of Hallmark, I'm recevie a 30% off discount and I don't have to place a downpayment of 25% ^__^ so yay!!
