(no subject)
I know I've got work to do-just finding the hours in the day to do it is the tricky bitch.
I burned old poems tonight. If I can only do a poem ONCE in a year I'd like to work on the performances of my new work a little more first the performances tonight were not great-tonight was far from my best work-it may well have been my worst in a long time but we all get an off night-at least I will keep telling myself this.
I could use a break but it will be a little while before I get one...I feel like I accomplished so much at WOWPS but came out behind on new work written, edited, and memorized....a boy I am talking to asked me today how long it takes me to prep for a slam...I said..I am always sort of prepping...editing on my phone at bus stops...memorizing whenever I can..forcing myself to writing group on Sundays to try to write new work.....30/30 begins on Friday....the Writing Wrongs Grand Slam is in slightly less than 2 weeks away-if that goes well for me I can see a tiny rest...if not....I dont know... honestly.. LOTS on my mind right now...LOTS...
and Dez is not answering my text messages...
