Auditions!!!!!
Hey guys I've told most of you this already but the theatre where i work is doing a big awesome wild wild west themed haunted house. I've toured it and its gonna be amazing. anyway we've got the gouls & spider webs but we need actors! it'll be fun improv and you'll get to scare little ankle bitters.plus you get service hours. I'll be around running tech for it or something like that so you'd get to see me too thats a bonus now isn't it? lol. the house is running for around 5 days & isn't open on the day of halloween.so you can still go trick or treating or go to a party.anyway details below.
2005 SHRIEK WEEK CROOKED CREEK HAUNTED GHOST TOWN TOURS.
So, here's the story. Last Halloween, you toured the town. This Halloween...hear the legend of the meanest, ugliest, most horrifying outlaw family of Crooked Creek -- the Evil Family. Yes, that's their name...and they lived up to it. Feel the chilling presence of Daughter Alice, Son Louis, Husband Sam, and Mama Evil. For years, the family ruled the town, and then, one by one, people simply vanished. Hear the untold stories...if you dare. "Live" outlaws stroll the grounds!
AUDITIONS will take place on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 at Sugar Sand Park Community Center, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton, just south of Palmetto Park Road, east of Military Trail. Please call 561.347.3900 to schedule an audition appointment. Requirements are a cold reading and some improvisational exercises.
Auditions are open for the following characters:
LEE, THE TOUR GUIDE:
Can be male or female; long time resident of Crooked Creek; knows everything about the town, its people, and its shady history; gets a kick out of telling tales of the mysterious happenings and enjoys seeing folks squirm uncomfortably when he/she tells the stories. This is a strong improvisational character while still sticking to the plotline. Commands attention in a crowded room.
ALICE EVIL, THE SCHOOLTEACHER:
Female role; resentful that her fiancé disappeared on the day of their wedding. Think Sandra Bernhard meets Carrie of “Carrie” fame.
LOUIS EVIL, THE DEAD BARTENDER:
Male role; a mysterious event in the cellar left him mad, crazy. Think Robin Williams meets Leatherface of “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” fame.
SAM EVIL, IN JAIL:
Male role; a gold thief who spent his last years in jail, and finally hung for his crimes. Think Jeff Foxworthy meets Pinhead of “Hellraiser” fame.
MAMA EVIL, IN HOUSE:
Female role; discovers her husband, Sam, has been holding out on the family stolen “fortune” and he offs her due to her incessant nagging! Think Roseanne meets Linda Blair of “Exorcist” fame.
OUTLAWS:
Local bandits who roam the grounds looking for gold and treasures, cause mischief, and are generally a nuisance. “Bandito” types who will interact with patrons.
ADDITIONAL TOWN RESIDENTS:
Residents of Crooked Creek who wander the halls, or inhabit the town, unaware of their demise. Interaction with patrons waiting in line for the Crooked Creek Express or within the tour as needed.
Haunted Tours will take place on October 27 - 31 for approximately 4 hours per night/day. You should be able to commit to at least 3 of the 5 days, if not all 5 days. Community Service hours can be granted for participation
