Day 45
Did a Tokyo day out with my parents today, hitting some of the main tourist areas like Akihabara, Ginza (including my hospital) and passing by Tokyo and Hamamatsucho, where we admired Tokyo Tower in its evening glory. Unlike when I did the Yamanote round with Fiona, we tried to avoid walking too much since, well, it’s kind of hard for my parents to walk all day. They did, however, become enthusiastic at the sight of all the cheap prices in our nearby supermarket and made a home-cooked dinner - something I haven’t had in a while. It’s hard to grocery shop when travelling alone unless you’re living somewhere for a long while as it’s almost impossible to finish most servings of stuff. It was nice to eat vegetables again, that’s for sure.
