So, then. An actual update.

Well, let's see. First off, had a major conflict at work. The company is having to give credit to a customer for something we didn't do wrong in the first place. Blame for this got chucked down the channel til it got to me, and since I don't have anywhere to put it (and refuse to try, seeing as we didn't do anything wrong in the first place), I got stuck with the buck. Fortunately my track record speaks for itself, and I'm in a position that A) noone else wants and B) noone else understands very well. So, after a bit of digging around and fighting tooth and nail to get these people to see the truth that's sitting in front of them (which still didn't work), it's kind of blowing over.

Second, my gaming group finally came apart at the seams. Real life finally wittled us down to a low number of wholly committed players, and so we are on a permanent hiatus that I honestly don't expect us to break out of. Which sucks, because as much as I like World of Warcraft, nothing makes up for the up-front interaction with a few buddies over a table. I could probably run a modern game with the number of players we have left. However, I'm unsure if one of the players wants to try playing in such a small group and get the feeling that the wife is done trying to be a PNP gamer. Which leaves me and one girl, about whom the first person I mentioned is uncertain would be interested without one of the people we just lost.

Got the wife a new van. Well, new to us. It's a 2002. Only had a touch over 30k miles on it. And now we're back in the "we have no money" end of the pool. However, we did arrange to keep our health club membership (for now), and our other primary entertainment (WoW). So, we have ways to keep ourselves amused for now.

Still, I keep going over my gaming books, even knowing I have no audience. I know this is going to get to me, eventually.

The kids are doing well. Alexis starts school soon, and we'll be moving Logan to a closer daycare until he goes next year. Steph and I both have our moods, but that's normal. I've been playing FFX-2, but not religiously as the story's not as gripping as the first game so far. And yes, Eileen, I'm aware I still need to bust open my copy of SH3. I just haven't felt the mood hit me quite yet.
