Zombies Zombies and more Zombies!!!!
Well we seem to have a plethora of good movies coming out all at the same time, (this is the best thing about summer in my mind, other than short skirts shorts and tank tops of course) and this friday is no exception. It is time for the final chapter from the great George A Romero LAND OF THE DEAD. The movie comes out on friday and the AMC Parkway Point theater (right near the intersection of 75 and 285 north of Atlanta) is having a 12:30 am showing (actually making it saturday morning). I will be attending this show with a couple other folks as late at night is the only time to see a zombie movie and anyone who wants to go is welcome to come with us.
Speaking of Zombies if you haven't yet heard of the horde plan for DragonCon prepare yourself. I am not sure of whether or not we'll have a suite this year or where exactly we'll be staying so I am not yet sure as to the party aspect of the entire thing but one of the days at the con (probably saturday night since everybody puts on their real fancy costumes sunday) myself and several cohorts are going to get into Zombie makeup and start out as a small but highly contagious infection wandering around the con. From there we will wander the con (with corpse grey makeup cakes and vials of fake blood) and infect more nerd zombies who will then join the horde with us. My goal is to get at least 50 people by the time the whole thing is said and done; preferably people who are already in some sort of other costume that we just make into zombies. If we have a location for it we hope to have a party where anybody who comes in has to be put into zombie makeup, and we will have a fantastic Monster Mash! So in other words, no matter who you are, superhero, supervillain, storm trooper, hobbit, or klingon prepare yourself, for no one can escape the horde.
