I just went to run an errand (get some groceries) for my mom, and I did so without a coat. It's in the mid-40s, warm enough for me to go without a coat. And it's New Year's Eve.
You're welcome to have a bit of wuffy's Colorado cold and snow if you wish. *grins* We seem to have it in abundance this year.
Definitely coat and hat weather here today, though it's nice and sunny too. Just a bit windy and chilly to go with the sun. But we've had 'coatless new years' here in the past. About equal number with the "parka needed" versions, including storms and such that put the fireworks launched off of Pike's Peak on "hold" on a few years.
It's a bit unusual for us to have this many snow storms in such quick succession here. But even with the blizzards of the last couple weeks, we haven't equaled the total snow or ferocity of the storms we've had in prior years. Like the one where even the fire department couldn't get out of their stations to take emergency calls, and we had to call out the Army off Ft. Carson in the south of the city and the National Guard, to bring out their HMMV's to transport rescuers and EMTs from the fire stations.
We even had to get a couple of thosee big "snow cats" from some of the ski resorts to go rescue trapped motorists, because not even the "hummers" could make it through some of the drifts.
