Hooray, Friday was awesome. My only class (math) was canceled. I woke up early because of the heat, which in truth was the only crappy part of the day. The lack of air conditioning in my apartment and car is starting to get to me, particularly considering it was 95 in my apartment today. I watched Red vs. Blue Season 5, which was the last season, but it was hilarious. Then, I got my case (the replacement) and started building my computer. After installing the motherboard, the CPU and heatsink and RAM, I crossed my threshold for dealing with the technical and said screw it. Then I went to Chelsey's and hung out for a bit before Studio X rehearsal. Studio X went well, better than I expected, and Joe and I got to execute our plan to re-enact a scene from As You Like It as Fidel Castro and Superman. The only downside was that my hair was gelled and sprayed into a huge spit curl for the number the Eboard did from Hairspray. This was ok, because (thanks I should think to my lengthy hours of practice) I did the dance perfectly! Yay! I think I saw some of my friends and the new freshmen in the audience, but everyone (except KT) left so quickly afterward I can't be certain. Anywho, after Studio X, I went with some ppl to Pano's, then went back to my apartment because Blur very kindly offered to help me build my computer in exchange for food. So the construction went successfully, but I thought I wouldn't be able to use it until the next day because I didn't have a PS/2 keyboard and my wireless USB one wasn't working. Actually though (I realized after I Blur left), I am an idiot and hadn't plugged in the actual transmitter for the keyboard (it is in two pieces and I thought the other part was only for the mouse). So here I am on my finally constructed new computer. So far I have this to say. Performance thus far is awesome, however:
Dear Windows Vista,
I am not stupid, I know what I am doing. You don't have to ask me if I want to do things I already established I wanted to do by starting the process in the first place. Why can't you be more like XP and just get me? It's only been an hour, but already you're the worst roommate ever. I wish I could punch you.
Love,
Tino
So overall, a pretty sweet day. Hope more are to follow.
