Vector Portrait 5: Warehouse 13

Another Warehouse 13 Vector Portrait...maybe I should just write a fic while I'm at it.  I'm serious, the amount of time I've put into this fandom, I probably should write a darn fic too.  But I digress, here's everyone's favorite ninja, creepy, Secret Service department head, Mrs. Frederic!  I had fun on this one, and am now ticked at the casting ( Read more... )

I think this is my favorite of each of the ones you've done so far! Perhaps it's just that Mrs. Frederic just looks like a statue could be made depicting her visage ;)

I know right? She really does have that look to her, I think a lot of African/African-American's have that look to them, I think it's there bone structure really.

I'm glad that you like this though:D I was afraid that folks would throw a fit that I didn't use her checkered suit but instead used her brown jacket and blue shirt outfit for this one.

After a day of driving and driving and more driving I come home to this epic drawing? <3 You're spoiling me. Really.

And hey if I'm not mistaken Mrs. Frederic's body guard dude is bald so at least HE doesn't have curls. But you do them so well!

Bahh, I do aim to please after all. I'm happy I could make you happy after doing all of that driving:D Don't get used to so many frequent updates from me after next Thursday, I start college then, and I don't know what my workload is going to be like.

That's true, HE doesn't have curls, in fact all of her bodyguards are bald with beards of some sort...hmm.

Yeah I may do them well but they're still annoying as heck, because it takes a fine balance to find that shadow/midtone/light balance because if I went photorealistic it'd take me forever to do. Just makes me more patient I guess, which isn't a bad thing.

I think this one is by far the best you have done. Everything about it - the coloring, the accuracy of the look.

Thank you for sharing these, they are so wonderful to see.

If I can get the person to look like themselves, then that's half the battle. The other half is getting a look that fits them and looks good doing this, something I can never seem to do traditionally but all of my digital stuff seems to make people happy. I'm glad that I pulled it off, Mrs. F is intimidating to do in all honesty because I was afraid that any pic I'd choose wouldn't fit her personality and work well in this style (I had that problem with my Pete one, went through a couple versions until I did a lucky crop on him). The coloring, well I'm happy it works on her, she's tough to find good colors for! I tried gray, tan, blue, none of which seemed to work, then I found this purple which I am so happy works on her!

I don't get much of a chance to share things with folks so it's as much a pleasure to me to share these things and get feedback of some sort. I'm glad you like them!
