Hmm... Dad just called me middle-aged. Not too sure how I feel about that.
Anyway, NDK was hectic but a blast. I never saw Kara (?!) but that was likely because I spent most of my waking hours glued to my booth in Artists' Alley. The result was a good profit, and definitely something that would make me do it again. But I didn't get much sleep, didn't get much socialization, and was sneezing out plastic fur fibers most of the time. At least I got to go to the AMV competition, the cosplay competition, and the rave. I heart glowsticks!!! After a good night's sleep and a long shower (FINALLY) I feel like myself again, although I think I'm coming down with something. Plenty of work to catch up on, and I've only started unpacking.
Phew. But NDK is a blast. It's like Disneyland, where everyone gets to be Mickey Mouse. Cosplay everywhere, and people are generally open and accessible because they're not neccesarily themselves, but rather their character. Not bad! Just plain 24-7 entertainment. Nice people, irreverant atmosphere, and the sensory overtone of hairspray and BO. I wish this happened more than once a year :)
