The Answers
Read for the answers to my quiz.
#1 Yes my initials stand for Jorge Javier. It sounds like spanish royalty and I hate it but some people seem to really like it. Luckily my parents called me JJ from the time that I was born and I love that name so much more. I was known as Apple all through highschool. In fact many people from my home town still only know me as Apple.
#2 What can I say? I love reading more than anything else in the world. Well, so far anyway.
#3 I have 3 brothers from the same parents, but my dad had a son with his new wife, so technically I have four brothers and that would just be the correct answer in this case.
#4 Heroes is the only sho I love that is still on the air. Buffy, however, is my all time favorite show of all time!!
#5 Douglas Coupland has had a huge impact on my life and I am happy to say that I had the thrill of meeting him this past summer. He signed a book and we had a conversation about film. He is an amazing writer and I would love to sit down and have more conversations with him. It's hard to believe that he has never written horror and I still love him beyond all other writers. I recommende reading Life After God to get a clear understanding of why I love him so much.
#6 I was left-handed as a child but I went to private cathlic school as a child and the nuns used to tie my left hand behind me to force me to write with my right hand. as a result, I am ambidextrous but I write with my right hand. Sometimes I still reach for a pen with my left and I tend to doodle with my left hand. I also can throw darts and shoot pool with both hands equally well.
#7 I love heights, I want to skydive one day. I love spiders, I use to play with them as a child and don't like killing them. i would rather move them outside than swat them. I am not afraid of ghosts, I talk to them sometimes. I have been able to survive some details in my life because of them. Frogs on the other hand, scare the shit out of me. I don't have a rational explanation for this but they freak me out.
#8 My sister died before she was ever born and my mother never told anyone she was pregnant. Later in life a spirit kept approaching me trying to let me know that we were part of a bigger picture. I named her Cordelia after a character from Buffy and Angel because the character had a ghost that lived in her apartment. I felt it suited my scenario. I think though, that her name would have been Sophia had she been born.
#9 I have a tattoo of a pentagram on my left shoulder in white ink. It is a symbol of my feminist beliefs, hence the left shoulder. More tattoos will follow.
#10 Last but not least, I cannot smell bad odors. I either do not smell them at all or they smell good to me. I love the smell of skunk, to me it smells like fresh rain and green plants. I don't think that people smell them the same. I also do not know what the smell of dirt is like. This is probably a result of some head tauma I suffered as a child.
