Avril is one of my favorite musicians because she writes, sings and plays her instruments instead of just being an icon. Her songs are written with emotion and pain. This performance is such a sad moment and I was moved. I had never seen it before but I feel like this is why music exists. To make that connection to your inner most essence and let it out into a the world when you have to.
