I Want The Queen
Unexpectedly, we went farther than we expected. Our plan was to simply etch-out a list of songs that collectively, we want to perform live. Not only did we do that, but we also brushed up on a few guitar parts. We will be getting together again on Monday to start practicing.
The fourth CD is out and ready, and being heard by plenty of people. Our friends... not many comments from people though. It doesn't matter, that's just the way I like it. Swallow it down and shut up. Everytime someone tries to insult me about it, essentially, it just made me that much stronger and made that person look that much more dumb. Any sort of comment or exageration about the CDs completely motivates me though. It only makes me want to get to a piece of paper that much more quickly and start writing something else. However, even without any sort of feedback, I'm complacent.
..... having said that, I think feedback takes a reverse effect with the boys. It either really motivates them or puts them down. On a similar note, I have a drastically different relationship with them than with the rest of the world. I can be honest with them. I can't always be honest with people outside of the band. I find myself biting my tounge often. Taking that in, don't think I'm lying to you the next time we talk. That's why I think this band is so special. The honesty amongst each other works real well. But, when it comes to outsiders, people who won't understand this at a first glance, it's good that we have the nicknames..... because it reminds people that this is all in fun. We're doing it because we like it.
Anyways, enough about that stuff for today. I was at Garbage's site earlier... looking at pictures.... of Shirley. Yeah, I want her. In one photo, she was wearing a shirt that said, "I'm the queen of the fuckin' universe." I wouldn't argue with her. She's gorgeous.
I finally got to talk to Mark. He was my old roommate at CMU. He's also the one who has been doing the website thing for us. I finally got his address, now I just have to get some stuff together and I can send it to him so he can add to whole big monsterous thing. It's getting big, and he's doing a damn good job. I'll post the site up here again once it's been updated a little more.
