Father update: two pathologists and an endocrinologist have looked at the biopsies and all said it's not cancer, but Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which is treatable with hormone therapy. (They're sending them on to Stanford for an expert opinion, but they're pretty certain.)

Thank you everyone for your hugs and support. *hugs flist*

I think I'll go fall apart with relief now.
