So in the past month and a half, four long awaited video games have been released, caused major brain strain and lack of sleep.
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the games, but man oh man, why so close to each other? First it was Saints Row 2, Basically a shinier version of the first one, nothing better than driving up on the sidewalk and running people over. Was able to finish this one fairly quickly thankfully.
Moved on to Fable 2. Again, a polished and refined work compared to the first, but still terribly short, pretty much finished the main story arc in just 2 sittings. Can only hope for downloadable content in the near future.
Fallout 3, a loooooooooooong awaited addition to the fallout series, almost never happened since the original company, Interplay, went outta business. The same guys who make the Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, and Oblivion) picked up the rights to the game, so there were skeptics and optimists, I was the latter. Thankfully we were not disappointed at all, the game is fantastic. The gameplay is vastly different from the first two, but that was good for it 15 years ago. Still chugging through this one.
And good ole Gears of War 2 came out today, nothing like killing a bunch of underground dwelling aliens. Gonna play a bit of this when I arrive home tonight.
So, all these in a month and a half, thank god some of them were fairly short. Sadly I've only logged into WoW like 3 times since it all began. But, with Lich King less than a week away, that will soon change. Sadly that means I have less than a week to finish the other games, 'cause WoW will occupy a lot of my life thereafter.
