Hello again Livejournal. Long time no see. Let's get right to the business of pouring my thoughts into cyberspace, shall we?
First things first:
This break has been so rejuvenating. Well ok not the weekend, hitting up bars and partying for three days straight isn't exactly relaxing, it's just a lot of fun ;). But my Monday wasn't bad at all. Some inspirational words from Sable got me started off pretty nicely, and the beautiful day carried me on. I had planned on watching the meteor shower with Stefani and Kiera, but the clouds moved in before the day was done. the silver lining in this is that the sunset was goreous, like usual I hear. I need to look Westward more often.
I shared some of my spaghetti with Pie and pretty much relaxed the entire day. Mat showed me a new way to work out before he left for Roswell; I look forward to trying it when I get out of here.
Second things second:
PARKOUR! Karissa's really rejuvenating my desire to float through the atmosphere, disconnected from the world and it's problems for a second or two. I miss the feeling and confidence that came with being able to fling myself into any obstacle and surpass it with little friction. My friends really are here to pick me back up onto my feet when I fall, and I'm so grateful for all of them and their quirky ways :). It'll be interesting becoming a teacher again. I look forward to it so much, but of course the biggest fear of being a parkour teacher is watching your students fall. Injury is expected, naturally, but it still hurts to watch someone crumple to the ground. It still hurts watching myself get intimate with that hand rail.
mmmm new techno mix, my ears are happy.
I'm glad I decided to take a few extra moments to chill in Las Cruces. The parties, the familiar comfort of a full size bed and new sheets, and personal time to reflect and rejuvenate my willpower, courage, and demand for respect. This school semester has been so demanding, I'm glad it's over. In a good light, the intensity of the semester has made this halo of freedom that much more pleasurable.
MAT GOT ME A YOSHI PLUSHIE DOLL FOR CHRISTMAS!!! I don't care how girly or gay that sounds, I've always wanted him and he's so adorable! That sneaky guy, I walk into my place and he's sitting on the couch eating crab spinach fetuccini or some sort from red lobster, with a mug of wine on one side and a glass of egg nog on the other. "Hey Mat, how's it going?" I say, the scent of food making me hungry, even though I'm not a fan of spinach or crab.
"Nothing much" he says, taking a bite from his meal. "Oh by the way he says," taking a sip from the wine, and making an alcohol face; it was our cheap ass shitty wine. "Some guy was looking for you earlier, he's in your room."
"What?!" I say, surprised looking in my room which was directly on my left. The lights were off and it was dark. a glint of fear shone from my soul, My fear not of darkness itself, but what lurks beyond. I reached my hand around the corner, fumbling the light switch on and advancing cautiously into the room. No person was in sight. I spotted my reflection in the mirror and did a double take. Why do I look like Yoshi I wondered. The yoshi plushie was attached to the mirror, smiling back at me! I hopped over, thanking Mat a thousand times and then I took everywhere we went afterwards, Gerry's first (or was it second?) birthday celebration, Pie's place, to wal mart, and richards, even the Delta Gamma house, lol. We shall adventure many places together.
Well, I'm going to start working on my next big animation. It's been an unofficial tradition for me to create a big animation in a short amount of time by my lonesome every year. Dullik Surprise, Heroes intro, Mad Mike Beyond Thunderdome, they're starting to add up. This time it's The Chase. Yeah the one I did for 2D animation, but that was only a fifth of my storyboard. You wait and see :)
I look forward to heading home, visiting Annete, Bear, Brittany, Alan, and any other high school buddies I run into. Hit up some hookah bars, share a drink with my Mom, say hello to big papa and enjoy the ride.
