COMA'S search for the holy board game....
well what a fucking insane weekend and what a relief to have spent it out of bristol. so round up of events.
friday. well met mark from work about 5 and we chilled out chattinhg and walking to the eclipse for a drink. discussing the state of our lives and the fun things we used to do was quite mint.
got to the eclipse and awaited the call from mr_ant as he finnished work at 6 and wanted to go over with us.
eclipse was fun nice chilled out drink and chatting havent done for ages.
met up with ant and walked over to the keller, which had a cue ^^ not often you see that.
so cue'd up doing stupid arm movements and generally pissing about with mark.
got in headed for bar and bought red bull. then settled on a table with a good view.
caz, fb, rg, matt, and frosty and adam turned up. which was cool. (admittedly me and frosty still dont talk but im fine with it,)
gig was amazing and probably the best gig i have seen in the 6 years ive been going to gigs in the keller. mesh were on top form and played an amazing set. new stuff is actually growing on me quite a bit. had a great time with some great company and im very glad that certain people didnt come as it meant i enjoyed the gig a lot more and the night itself.
keller afterwards was actually pretty damn mint and now everything that waqs causing problems has now been sorted and the nights there are finally back to normal.
spent some quality time with joshie and also had a cool chat with kat. though i was very tired and cant remember much other than i have a very dodgy photo of louis on my phone in womens top and cant remember taking it :S oh well ill ask mike opr bandy abouit that when i see them next.
saturday coma's epic quest begins.....
woke up stupidly early, got ready. searched for the ellusive rare spawn known as the megabus. but alas i gave up and decided to go with a more expensive regular spawn so headed to temple meads to hunt down a train.
luckily doing it this way worked out cheaper as it was a direct train to basingstoke and only cost £20 return and avoided london.
so the hunt begun armed with mp3's a silly amount of smokes and 2 6 packs of coke i was off in search of new adventure.
(windrider was first option but strangely not an option grr)
made it to basingstoke and was met by jules aka dorri the uber lock. who took me to me steve aka toldar the healing machine (part time dps and vending machine of bullets) who took me for a really sweet meal which rocked (especially liking the bottomless coke option with the weather etc)
we the trekked across town to steves flat to chill while we waited for heather aka faelamor the epic mage (more known as vending machine and massive dps demon)
showed them the remix of 50 dkp which is fucking hillarious. all i can say is THROW MORE DOTS...
so yeh bit later we met heather and went back to hers. and play'd some odd card game which the name escapes me but was hillarious and a lot of fun. still cant believe jules won in 2 turns that was insane.
so waited for andi aka targrr the rogue (the uber stealthing priests worst nightmare) and lump aka staggem (druid of feralness who is lame at lava walking. ^^ )
as they had been demolishing and attempting to fit a kitchen
alan turned up aka razgool (mean person who talked about download too much hehe)
so we all gathered and chatted for a while before deciding to open the prize which was the epitamy of coma's saccred quest the world of warccraft board game (sounds sad travelling 300 mile to play a toned down game i play on my pc but it was worth it trust me.) the figures were hillarious and it took over an hour and a half to actuallyu get to grips with the worst set of rules ever and far too many counters lol. but hey we were finally under way, all of us playing our main characters from online. i was hunter, heather mage, and steve a priest. we were the horde team. jules played a lock raz played a warrior and andi trying to be different played a druid instead of a rogue. they were the evil scum alliance and there was to be much ganking involved.
game itself was funny as hell and my no drinking policy went down the drain as i had a copuple of beers and glad i did now.
we finnished late and i said goodbyes to steve and jules and raz as i wouldnt see them on the sunday. was great meeting the peopl,e behind the players but i did feel i already knew them well so was kinda weird.
stayed up chatting to andi for a while and finally passed out on the sofa like a little puppy.
woke up sunday and chatted to lunpy and andi before they went off to tackle the kitchen again. heather wasd great she brought me toast and tea :)
played a bit of wow with steve heather and jules. then andi took me to the station and that was the end of the quest. shame really was having an amazing time.
its a shame i missed both eve's birthday and the gig at the full moon its a crying shame in fact, as the venue and the gig i really wanted to go to but alas it was imposssible as it clashed with previously arranged plans. hope both went ok ill try and go back through my friends posts to see how it went.
tonight is a late at work. so quiet night in etc.
also ant and ali* if you see this call me after 8pm i have a surprise.
