headache and qPCR

Jan 26, 2010 15:03

Ok, three migraines in four weeks, probably just because this has been such a crazy month. I have now officially tried Excedrin. It may have worked but if it did it took an hour and a half, and in the middle of that time period I did throw up.

I started this RNA project in September, and now that I'm FINALLY ready to do my qPCR (the reaction that will actually give me the results/data), the lab whose machine I was going to borrow has suddenly decided that the machine is old and inaccurate. This is odd since I know they had it serviced in the fall. Oh well. I'm going nuts because I was ready to do this TODAY, and now I'm waiting to hear back on two other leads for machines I could use. I can't find any other on-campus facility that actually offers public use of a qPCR machine, so now I've got to bug individual labs.

Edit: Excellent! As soon as I bitch about this to my LJ, I get an email back with a machine that I can use. That's the way to do it.
