Time to streamline the information, 2.0 style:
Shadow Complex: Is good. You should play it. dodgy platforming and fairly basic and often repeated boss battles aside, it's an excellent attempt at a modern Metroidvania game, which are always surprisingly good fun (Essentially Zelda, but side-on). Guns, robots, main character who's a little bit too much like Nathan Drake for comfort (Is this how all male non-power-armoured game characters are going to sound now? Wise-cracking Americans?). It's all there. 100%'d it over a weekend. Recommend others do the same
Batman: Arkham Asylum: As someone who doesn't really like Batman, this game is still a fantastic treat. It harkens back to the relatively decent animated series that showed the dark and gritty world of Gotham that Chris Nolan eventually harked onto, rather than the camp 60s attempt and whatever the hell happened with the original Batman movie run (Which was weird, and then terrible). An excellent game in its own right, with only a slightly dodgey camera to get in the way. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to play something fun, and also learn about Batman while you're at it. Educational! I never knew how many ridiculous Batman villians there were. Especially those based on Alice in Wonderland
Mini Ninjas: Played a Demo. It was miserable. Combat was infinitely dull and tedious. Graphical style wasn't particularly good either. Bleh.
Lost Planet 2: Seems to have gone a bit Monster Hunter. The demo features you and friends (or you and AI bots) verses a giant SotC-style lizard boss. Mountable mechs, vehicles, respawn points and grappling hooks are yours to defeat the monster. Extra fun: Have it eat you, then slide down its digestive tract destroying various organs before being... expelled out the other end. Capcom on form I see :p Kinda fun, may look into it.
Wet: Wanted to enjoy it. The Car-chase sequence was impressive (Even if it was pretty much just Enter The Matrix's one but with QTE overload. The combat's mindlessly dull, reguardless of how much "Style" they want to throw at it. Like a less-subtle Max Payne on Caffiene. Not as slick as it thinks it is
FF: Dissidia: Crazy. Combat System is bonkers, takes a while to get used to, and ultimately seems incredibly shallow. Looks gorgeous, level design seems a bit chaotic and simple in places. Can't really argue against it being anything other than fanservice. Neatly done though, and kinda fun after you get the hang of it (although some characters are just wank). May wait though.
Champions Online: Still quite fun. Requires hefty PC though. Struggles to run on decent graphical setting at minimal resolution on my machine. Isn't god-damn Crysis.
Aion: Mentioned this previously, but will re-state. It's essentially Warhammer Online: Korean style. Except everything looks gorgeous and has wings. Shallow Single-Player/PVE Content. Builds towards epic RvR Conflict.
Monkey Island Tales: Part 2: Review pending. Seems to have the same issues as part 1, but slightly better. A Good start. Supporting characters seem a bit better this time. They seem to be getting the hang of things now.
