Methinks I own too many Converse Shoes...
Yes, yes. This was a thinly veiled excuse to play with my 10th Doctor doll since I had this idea. He is, after all the king of Converse.
I adore converse. So much. I love how versatile they are, how comfy, and how they look. So over the years since my feet stopped growing I've gotten quite the collection. AND I ALWAYS WANT MORE.
*cough*
I never realised that I was a shoe girl until I actually counted how many shoes I own. (including converse and other shoes too).
Talk about pandering to the stereotype.
*dramatic sigh*
Anyway, here's the converse collection in age order :p
*Khaki Green 3/4 fold ups/downs - my first pair bought back in either year 11 or early 6th form. I adored that they folded down and that they were more like boots. Unfortunately they don't match anything and are horribly impractical. So i barely ever wear them but will never throw them away.
*'Ugly Chinese man' Chinese style tattoo print converse - My absolute favourite pairs in orange-y colours and red with a Chinese man on the side. They're dirty as hell now and falling apart, but they're the comfiest shoes EVER, I'll cry when they're finally irreparable, I swear. lol
*Purple converse - purple is my favourite colour, what can I say? The good (or tragically dorky- you decide) thing is that I got them also to match a purple winter coat I had in 6th form. so spent all that winter running around with a purple coat and shoes. Matching can be fun, yo :p
* Black Pinstripe Converse - I had been admiring these for sooooooo long. I wanted some converse that could work with a suit (because why the hell not?) My excuse for finally forking out the money was that i was starting a voluntary job where you wear a black uniform, and you had to have black shoes that were comfy. there was NO WAY IN HELL that i would ever go back to the hideous, clonky, shapeless black leather shoes i was forced to wear in secondary school due to our uniforms, so i picked these. I adore 'em.
*Skull Converse - These are actually my little sister's. She tried converse when i first did years and years ago, but couldn't get on with them and found them uncomfy cos her feet are wider. So she finally -years later- caved in and let me have them.
* Low/pump style black and white converse - I got these after a month or so at working at the comic book shop. I can wear whatever I want there and (so far) i'm the only girl. So occasionally i want to wear a dress. But since i'm stood up al day I need to wear insoles (those hideous pink things visible in them) but you can easily fit insoles in the ballerina pumps i usually wear with dresses. So I got these instead since they can go with anything and are awesome. very comfy. At work i wear either those or my pinstripe ones (since the pinstripes have insoles in 'em too). I haven't got around to buying insoles for them all so i can wear whatever i like though :p
And finally we have my 10th Doctor figure from my 11-Doctor-Doctor Who-Set. Whee!
So there you go. proof that i'm a geeky dork in most areas of my life, not just Doctor Who and Sherlock lol
