I read a lot of comics yesterday which were, almost without exception, brilliant. The first four issues of the new Iron Man series were top-notch; Avengers and Avengers Assemble continue to be fantastic reads. The latest Transformers: More than Meets the Eye damn near broke my heart a few times. Only Green Lantern: New Guardians was sub-par ( ( Read more... )

"Indescribable creatures emerged out of thin air to attack - and attach to - their faces" ahhh!
Then smart come backs from Green Lantern!
Then looove!!
I'm sure that whatever she does in the future it will have to involve imagination!! A great read!!

So far, so 100 per cent correct. Santa's gifts of a Gotham City Jail, and a blonde-haired Lego minifig, have bequeathed unto us two adventures and the addition of Black Canary to the cast! The fun has yet to stop :)

I like to think that I had a hand in this, if only by providing eight-legged-horseys.

That was awesome. Deadpool! Green Lanterns! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!

*ahem*

Most excellent. (I'm gonna try and scan in Eight Days of Luke and send you that, think of it as a late Christmas present for LJ......that and an introduction to the awesome that was Diana Wynne Jones)

As we were packing everything away, I asked LJ if the entire multi-week plan was really just an elaborate scheme to ensure Slepnir joined the Earth-bound heroes. She gave a a look of pure innocence... all fluttering eyelashes and gentle smile... and said "of course not, Daddy". I don't believe her even a little bit :D

Weeeeeeeeelll is that so? :D

Cos it happens that I'm sending the story of Loki's Monstrous Children to you today. Lemme know if she wants Fenris, Hel or Jormy to join her little gang partly cos I'm not sure I have enough crazy in my life, and partly because I a Fenris toy as a kid.

Well, this was all kinds of awesome.

Desperate stakes, epic battles, cosmic conclusions and pay-off for months of work - this is what cross-book comic story lines should be like - and all in character!

Bravo, bravo - and I look forward to more great stories in the New Year

(I can only apologise for not commenting sooner - been rushing about in the lead up to Christmas and wasn't using the computer much!)

Fear not, my friend, we totally understand. Hope the Christmas trip home was a good one, and we look forward to Skyping with you again as soon as is practicable.

Bravo, bravo - and I look forward to more great stories in the New Year.

LJ asked me, just this morning, to choose a favourite from her 2012 output. I told her I just couldn't - this really has been a banner year for her creativity :)

WOW!!!!

What a way to round out 2012! Massive stakes, emotional toil, destruction, devistation, new & broken alliances and a heroic amada the likes of which not seen in recent memory!

Loved it that the "human" weakness was The Enchantresses undoing!

Captain Americas shield is there anything it can't do!

Has LJ read Infinity Gauntlet? Cause this story was right up there with it!

Well done!

Poor Deadpool everybodies favorite punching bag.

Loved that Kill it with Fire got to be used!

That gave me chills, man. LJ had given me no indication whatsoever of that plot twist and I loved it. So deep! The way her mind works continues to astound me.
