Yes, I know LJ promised there'd be no cliffhangers. The guy who punches the keys, however, made no such guarantees. Moo hoo hah hah hah.
Honestly: I didn't intend to chop things in half, but Sunday was a huge day for us. By the time 11pm rolled around, it was all I could do to hit "post entry" on what I'd written and crawl into bed. Now, refreshed

LJ was so worried that she'd "Mary Sue-d" Optimus too much. I explained that's precisely what McGuffins are for, and she was much happier.
I told her she shared your crush on Optimus, and she have me an "no duh" look. "That's because we're good people," she said. Couldn't agree more :)

Bucky's back, Bucky's Back, BUCKY'S BACK, tra la la la lah!!!!
Battling billionaires and Cap gets a great line to close out the story, I likes it I does.
Optimus shows us why he's the man, er robot er... Primus! Cool(ish) head in the midst of battle and he knows how to open one giant size can of whoop ass when needs be
Best story to date and I can't wait for the new Super Hero City to be unveiled!
Excellent work LJ I had a great big smile on my face when reading this story I loved every minute of it!
PS: SF there will be a reckoning for that to be continued oh yes there will ;)

That was a deliberate choice, on LJ's part, after learning how upset you were over recent Marvel editorial decisions (which she also thinks are "pretty silly"). She likes to please her two biggest fans (you and raisedbymoogles), does the kidlet.

I'm shaking in my widdle bootie-wooties :P ;)

What a fantastic apocolypse! Everything a finale (well, season finale, shall we say?) should have - spectacular battles, an amazing cliff-hanger (I can *see* the full page spread even without the photos) and, of course, the epic battle to end all epic battles! All it needs is a soundtrack that's part Murray Gold, part John Williams and part Stan Bush!
Excellent stuff! But then, of course it was, with such a team working on it!

Y'know, had I slightly better (read: any at all) musical skills, I might just have attempted something like that. Because, you know, it sounds freaking amazing!
