Shower problems.
umm. still haven't figured out where precisely the leak is in my bath tub so my bedroom is crammed into one corner of the space while the carpet is pulled back and a fan occupies the rest. first noticed it back in May, but didn't think much of it. got the leak fixed in the shower in july/august dried out the carpet. didn't think any thing about it.
noticed wet carpet again back before thanksgiving. a whole lota wet. matt took a look, got wet socks too, pulled up the carpet and a good four feet from the wall shared with the bathroom out was sopping, and i do mean sopping wet. so we put the fan on it again.
after thanksgiving when it was mostly dry, i took a bath and made the connection between bathtime and wet carpet. the industrial sized fan is now a permanent resident of my bedroom. . . . i think i'm gonna call him Caleb.....
this morning, matt cut a hole in my wall and couldn't tell where the heck it was coming from, but he called billy and they recaulked the drain, and the over flow drain. and the fan's drying out the carpet thing again. tomorrow i get to take a really long bath and we'll see if that fixed it, though he doesn't really think so. and if not then they get to go searching other places. . . like the foundation drain, or the gutter drain, or even ripping out a larger section of the dry wall and seeing what there is to be seen.
